Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries. MSF Hong Kong would like to raise the awareness of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) with the medical societies in South East Asia and inform them of the surgical activities that we have in the field and the need for surgeons, anesthetists, nurse anesthetists and OT nurses to volunteer for short term missions with MSF in the field. We would like to stablish official contact with the Board of Nursing of Phillipines, in order to promote our activities to an international level, as many of our more experience and valuable volunteers are from Phillipines. As you know,  MSF (Medécins Sans Frontières) know as Doctors without boarders in Phillipines, is recluting staff with specific skills for our interventions and projects all around the world (over 60 countries at this moment). We agreed in the coming months to start sending them new booklets especially design for the recruitment of this profiles:  Surgeons, Gyneco Obstetricians, Anesthesiologist. We we do realized were are missing an important pool, which is related to OT nurses and nurse anesthesia. At this moment in our pool, we count with over 40 volunteers from Phillipines (MD, nurses, OB Gyn, Surgeons, Anesth) who participated with us all around the world and we are extremly happy with their performance in the field as proffesionals, and for so, we are willing to explore much more the posibilities of recruiting more staff with especific profiles, in this case OT nurses.
